Adding a PCB module to PCB

Hi! I recently decided to use the Microchip "PIC32MZ W1 -  WFI32E01" in my design, this is a mini PCB with MCU and WiFi, however as I drag this component on to my PCB I realize it is not possible to do so. I'm guessing as it is in itself a PCB some special action is required. Are you able to advise on that?

I added a screenshot to show what i am trying to do.

Many Thanks,

Marcus

Best Regards,
Marcus

Hi @CaptainMJ

I hope you are doing well!

For your question, I think it may be related to Push and Shove Feature.

You can change the mode to Ignore Violators in the navigation bar.

And for information about Push and Shove, you can have a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4wkUCD9HSs&list=PLmA_xUT-8UlI0k9YsKK23onh_0VV2_DP5&index=28

Hope it can solve your problem, please have a try, thanks!

Create a new device for the module in your library.

Footprint -> Footprint of the module.

Package -> .step of the module, making sure it is above PCB height.

I did this with a Pi CM4 and it works quite well:

Is this what you mean?
