3D package created cannot be view by the team

I have created a 3D package, but I can't selected it as a new part in the library, the package file extension saved are not recognisable in view as team in library manager, either can I created new part for the 3D packages created.

Hi @ghteo

I hope you are doing well!

And for your question, I may not understand it well. I guess you may want to add 3D package for the footprint.

You can Right Click on the footprint and choose Attach Copy of Existing Model.

And if I misunderstand something here, please leave your comment. And any screenshot or video can be helpful for us to understand your question. Thanks!

Hi,
I import step file into 3D model, and how do I convert or extract the existing 3D model into footprints or make the package have auto footprint that I can use directly in Eagle? Currently in Eagle, I can't use get the footprint that I imported directly from a 3D model step files.
Please advise.

Hi @ghteo

For your question, I think you may need to create the footroint by yourself. Then you can import the STEP file as the 3D Model of your footprint.

Please have a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7GFaCYed30&list=PLmA_xUT-8UlI0k9YsKK23onh_0VV2_DP5&index=45

I hope this video can help. If you still have problems, please let us know, thanks!
