3D-Model Bug

Hi,

a couple of month ago, after a big Update, there was a bug that messed with the 3D models on PCBs for localizations like Germany.

Occasionally I stumble across this bug till today.

The two connectors on the right were placed first and a couple of days ago.

The two connectors on the left have been copied today and then moved to the left.

Is there any reliable way to fix this if it happens?

Thank You

Sebastian

Hi @sh9WZ6F,

I hope you're doing well. Try making a small move on the 2D PCB and then push everything to 3D PCB again. The small move is required to make sure none of the cache data is used.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi @jorge_garcia2,

here are the steps I already tried:

1. Moving the components and export again

2. Moving the components, apply the command PCB.clearCache and export again

3. Deleting the components on the left side and make fresh copies of the ones on the right side of the board, apply the command PCB.clearCache and export again

4. Deleting the components and importing them fresh from the library, apply the command PCB.clearCache and export again

5. Applying a new patch to Fusion360, restarting and trying all of the above again.

Best Regards,

Sebastian

Hello @sh9WZ6F,

I hope you're doing well. I've reach out the developers about this. Is there anything special about how you have associated the 3D models in the library?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

@sh9WZ6F , can you create a new 3D PCB by breaking the link to the old one and see if it helps?

Hi @yqliu,

this is not the solution I wished for, but it helped.

Now my Board is exporting with all Components in the correct orientation.

Thank you!
