Where is the Import and Export menu ? (no longer under FILE)

I used the convenience of the File->Import menu all the time, especially for importing Bitmaps to my PCBs.

Why did this menu option get removed?  Yes I can run the script command but it is annoying to have to type that up. It's a small thing but why remove conveniences that have existed for many generations in the older versions?

Same for export. I used export to .dxf and other formats all the time. Now the export function is just for Fusion 360 files.

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. Those features were not removed, rather those menus have not been implemented in Fusion360. Those are menus in EAGLE but haven't made it into Fusion360 Import and Export menus.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

ok I am starting to understand that Fusion Electronics != Eagle

It is quite confusing because the Autodesk website does not really help
make this distinction as it implies that Eagle has been replaced by Fusion
360. A new user would not understand that they have to subscribe to Fusion
360 but then then can download Eagle 9.6.1 and use it standalone (even
though there is no link for that on the site that I can see)
