Weird UI Bug after DRC and ERC

Hello all -- I noticed after a recent update (either June or July) that when I run DRC or ERC, the UI changes to display the results, and then I can no longer click on the tabs for design manager, display layers, and place component. The errors screen seems to take over the window. When I do click on the double arrow, it only pops out the single pane instead of returning to the default display setup. I really don't think it used to work this way, but regardless, it seems to be broken now. Video attached of behavior.

System details:

Mac Studio Ultra

128GB RAM

2TB HD

Studio Display

Fusion 2.0.19941 arm64 [Native]
macOS 14.5 (23F79) on Mac14,14

Hi @cyberreefguru,

So this one is not a bug, what's happening here is that somehow errors got pulled out and is docked instead of being a tab. Easiest way to resolve this is to click on the errors dock and in the top right click the 3 dots. You'll see an option that says convert to tabs click it.

Now the errors dialog should be part of the other tabs and you should be able to switch without issue. If for some reason this doesn't work, go to File > View > Reset to Default Layout and that should get you back to the default state and you can fix it from there.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Thanks Jorge -- I will try the 3 dot mechanism, but I've been using Reset to Default and although it returns the UI to the default, the next time I do DCR everything is broken again - so "reset" does not fix everything or make it permanent (might be a different bug).

For the record, the tabs not doing anything when clicked seems like a bug to me. Even if the error tab is supposed be displayed after it's been disemboweled from the main pane, the tabs are grayed out but still "come forward" when clicked, but the content pane does not appear - I don't think the tabs should do anything if they are really deactivated. 0.02.
