Via Stitching

Is there something like the via stitching tool in altium? In the end I want to add GND Shield to some Signals and add GND Vias to my whole PCB. Doing this manually is a bit of pain and I would like to avoid this.

Is there a tool in fusion or a proper way of doing this?

As far as I know there is neither a tool, nor a proper way of via stiching.

 

I remember that I read a forum article about how to use several ULPs, which are actually meant for drilling holes, to place vias along a line, but sadly I don't find that thread anymore.

Hi @bodensteiner58RYQ,

 

@lars.jepkens is correct. There is currently no tool for via stitching, however that will be changing shortly since the feature is almost complete.

In the meantime you could use the drill line array ulp which I've attached for your convenience.

Via stitching is planned to go out in the March release. If you want early access to it you can try it out in our insider program:
