Unsupported Geometry in Component Models?

I have created a component, but instead of using the package generator to create the 3d model for it, I've imported the model from the manufacturer's FBX file. It comes in as a MeshBody. It's scaled correctly, and visible in the model editor, and, after saving, in the preview thumbnail. But when I push the board layout with the component to a 3d model, the component's model is nowhere to be found. The MeshBody does not show up in the viewer or under the component in the browser tree.

Is there any documentation on what types of geometry are allowed in the 3d model for an electronics component? I cannot find any.

I believe @jorge_garcia should be able to answer this.

My guess is that mesh formats in general (.stl, .obj. .fbx) are not supported.

Hi @tgvarik @TrippyLighting

I hope you are doing well!

I double check with the develop team and they confirm that mesh is not supported in 3D PCB now.

Sorry for the confusion.
