Unable to delete Eagle libraries in Fusion 360

Hello, My company is in the process of migrating to Fusion 360 from Eagle. and it has been a really difficult process.

now, we are facing a problem importing the libraries from Eagle to Fusion 360. And they seem to be duplicated in the library manager but in the Team, there is only one.

I am trying to delete all libraries and start over but the delete button is disabled.
I would appreciate any help or anyone pointing me in the right direction.

Here is a more detailed context of the problem:

I imported the schematic and board created the electronic design and linked both files in it. up to that point, it works fine.

but then when I click on "Open device" fusion shows the error:

So I check in library manager and it looks like I have my libraries twice and the button to delete the duplicates is disabled. but still, it does not explain Why fusion cannot see one of the libraries. I even clicked on the "Use" button but the problem persists.

Hi @Anonymous ,

There's a lot to unpack here. Thank you for the screencast it helps illuminate some of the issues.

The first thing that is important to understand is that at some point it's not possible to delete team libraries. Like cloud data in general there is always the concern of a reference that goes to nowhere. If that happens, the best you can do for now is put the library out of use.

Another issue is you want to make sure that you only see one version of a library with a certain name. In the video you show multiple libraries being duplicated. The in design tab is especially worrisome because your design contains components from different libraries with the same name. At this point you can't update to fix the board.

Here's what I recommend, use the replace command to consolidate the components on your design to be referring to only one of the libraries. At the point you can un-use the other libraries and clean up your add dialog.

The right click open device option is going to try to open the specific library that the design is referencing. Once you've done the updates you'll see that the function will now open the correct libraries.

Let me know if you continue to run into issues.

@jorge_garcia  Thank you for your answer.
However, by using the replace command I am stuck with  a new issue described here:

any advice?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I hope you're doing well. Our developers are working on that issue, but it's really interesting that the two are related I'll report it to our developers.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
