Teardrop calculation fails for oval shaped PTH under different angle

Dear Support,

I found an issue related to PTH Teardrop calculation under, maybe non-standard placement or alignment situations.

In my case, an oval-shaped PTH pad is placed in 45° near the PCB Edge to ease manual soldering later in manufacturing. The Teardrop is calculated like that, using defaults in preferences:

For comparison, the via is calculated correctly under "misaligned" routing conditions.

Setup under preferences is default, except that I changed to "avoid violators".

Changing the alignment of the pad back to "standard" 0/90° angle, the calculation is ok for both sides of the oval pad:

From my side, there is no need to fix this behavior - I can disable this Feature for PTH or change my PTH angle back to 0/90° when needed.

Best regards,
Marja
