SnapEDA choking on 3D model; will not import part

I am trying to add a component (2059-302/988-403) to the local SnapEDA library and my design. However, it hangs on importing the 3D model with the message below, even though it shows it has a 3D model. I wouldn't mind if it skipped the model for now and added the symbol and footprint, but it errors out. This is happening on all the parts I'm trying to add. What is the work-around?

Hello @DanielPLongo,

I would reach out to SnapEDA support to report the issue with the plug-in. They wrote the plug-in and support it.

I'll see if I can ping them to let them know.

Hello @DanielPLongo,

SnapMagic got back to me. They are recommending that you uninstall and re-install the plugin. Also could you confirm what version of Fusion you are currently using?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi,

i am writing in the newest thread regarding SnapEDA plugin. I found out that the library is not loading correctly when the name of the component contains a '(' or ')'. Then only the 3D model is loaded, no footprint, etc.

I have a question regarding the folder the snapEDA library will be saved in Fusion. In my case it saves the downloaded items "somewhere" (where it absolutely not fits). Is there a way to control this where the files are saved ?

Thank you

Hello @xpuipc,

I hope you're doing well. This would be best reported to SnapEDA since they wrote the plugin. They would be able to fix it and confirm where it came from.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
