Selection tool bug: Direction of drag affects whether object are selected or not

When using the selection tool, I'm noticing that the direction of my mouse drag determines whether objects are selected or not, as in the following examples.  In the first, you can see that if I drag from top left to bottom right, nothing is selected, however if I drag from bottom right to top left, the lines are selected as I'd expect them to be.  I can't imagine why this would be the intended behavior.  Happy to supply my full design to somebody at Autodesk if they'd like to debug.

Nothing selected when moving down/right:

...but works going the other direction:

That behavior is completely intentional.  The "top left to bottom right" selection only selects things that are totally inside the box.  The "bottom right to top left" selection will select anything that is at least partially inside of the box.  The different highlight color is intended to indicate that the behavior will be different.

Ah, interesting.  Thank you.  Now that you mention it, I do notice the different color, but I sure didn't at the time!
