Schematic to XML request

I always perform a netlist to schematic manual check before having a PCB produced. I always find something not connected the way it should be. I am trying to automate this process using AI. My license no longer supports downloading Eagle for more complex PCB's. Is there any way I can get my Fusion360 schematic to XML format. It will be more accurate and save time. Thank you!  Mike Stebbins

Hello @mikestebbins08 ,

I hope you're doing well. Just export your design as an .f3z file. Then take that file and change it's extension to .zip, unzip the file. Inside you'll find the XML files corresponding to the schematic and the board.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.

Thank you for getting back to me Jorge!

I imported the file to GROK and was informed it was in binary format. My license did allow me to download Eagle 9x however and I saved my file as a .sch file and that is in native xml. The netlist was analyzed in seconds not the general hours it takes me, so that is a very big time saver. Are there any plans to do a .fsch schematic to xml conversion process once Eagle is gone?

Thank you again for your help!

Mike

Hi @mikestebbins08 ,

Did you try opening the .fsch file in a text editor? It should be XML. Remember you have to obtain it following the weird process I mentioned above. Export from the Electronics design file, it will contain both the .fsch and .fbrd files.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
