Ref. point for center of smd part (export of pick&place file)

Hi! I tried to export a pick & place file for the board assembly. The coordinates are in mm from the zero point of my pcb. First problem, my zero point is not in the down left corner, so the measurement is not right. How can I move the reference point or the hole pcb to align the corner with reference point?

How can I force the processor to export the pick&place in mil and not in mm?

Hi @Anonymous ,

I hope you're doing well. Most manufacturers can re-align the reference point to any arbitrary object on the PCB, so the fixed origin is not usually an issue. Currently there's no mechanism to change the reference point for the pick and place.

If you want to change the units you can go into the ULP export and adjust the units in the code. I'll make a recommendation to surface more of those options to make the default output more flexible.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Thanks, so I solved it in Excel in the meanwhile. It would really help to have more configurable options on the frontend
