Recovery deleted reference number

During my artwork of a PCB design, I mistakenly deleted reference number on the silkscrfeen layer. I cannot find how to recover or how to add the reference number.

The uploaded image shows J1 on the left part. The right part had J2 but deleted.

I want to add or recover J2 on the silkscreen layer.

Hello @m_niimura ,

This is done using the AUTOPOSITION command. Activate it and set it to restore default. Now when you click on the component you'll see the reference designator return.

Let me know if theres anything else I can do for you.

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for your suggestion, but I am new to AUTODESK, so I don't know where to find AUTOPOSITION command.

Sorry, I don't have such knowledge.

Please advise.

Best regards,

Hi @m_niimura ,

I hope you're doing well. It's actually REPOSITION attributes, that was my mistake. See the image below:

Hi Jorge,
The suggested method did not work.
So, I decided to delete the components which lost the reference number, and added the same component on the schematics.

Then, the reference number are back on the artwork.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Regards,

M. Niimura

Hi @jorge_garcia ,

I hope you're doing well. Is there a way to specify the spacing between the component's name and the pad?

For example, in this screenshot, I've repositioned the names using the "Reposition Attributes" command. The components' names are very close to the pads. In a manufactured PCB, the names will not be clear.

Can I specify the gap between the component's name and the pad without the "Check Design Rules" showing warnings in case the component's name is close to the pad?

Hello @majedmohammad ,

The Reposition command doesn't have any parameter to specify an offset. They tend to hug the pads like you are seeing. I'll put this in as an enhancement request.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
