Push to 3D PCB rotates and moves PCB causing it to break designs where 3D PCB was inserted.

I'm using Electronics Design to create PCB's.  I start with a Design file that has a sketch of the board which is offset from the origin and then use Create Associative PCB to push it to the Electronics Design to orient and specify the shape of the PCB.  I added the electronics to the PCB, and then included it in another Design file used to build components that I 3D print to cover the board.  All was good.

I recently discovered that I had an issue with a component that I created, so I updated the component and brought it into the electronics design.  The component required rerouting the board, but there were no other mechanical changes.  When I Pushed to 3D PCB, the pcb orientation was changed (rotated in one axis) and the offset was also apparently changed such that when I updated my printer Design, the board came in rotated and offset, which completely broke that design file.

I have had this problem before, but I'm finally frustrated enough to try to fix it.  Any help is appreciated.  If you need files, please let me know how to provide them.

Thanks.

More information on this.  I've been doing a number of sets of these sorts of projects.  I created these projects about a month ago.  Just as a test, in another project similar to the one above, I just changed some text on the circuit board and did a Push to 3D PCB.  This project also reoriented the circuit board.  I did not save this file to see if it would break the print Design file, but experience tells me that it would.  What is going on here?

Another update.  After I Push to 3D PCB, the Edit Board button brings up a dialog that only allows you to select the board.  It no longer allows you to set the origin or change the axis.  If you save the project at this point, you no longer get access to these features.  Maybe this will help.

I found the fix.  In order to orient the PCB back to the original sketch that was used when it was created, you need to open the Electronics Design, select the 3D PCB view and open the Sketches folder under the project.  In my case, there were two sketches there, Outline(Sketch3) and Outline.  Select both of those for viewing.  Press the Fit button at the bottom of the screen.  Press the Edit Board button on the top menu bar.  In the dialog, clear the current Profile selection and select the sketch that was originally used to create the board.  In my case, that was Outline(Sketch3).  This will enable the other options in the Edit Board dialog.  Restore the options to the ones used to create the PCB including setting the origin of the PCB and the axis direction.    Press the Modify, Push to 2D PCB.  Go to the 2D PCB Design screen.  Press the Push to 3D PCB button and then the Push button in the dialog.  Deselect the Sketches in the 3D Design and save the whole project.  That should correct the problem.  It looks like this may only be a problem when the original board layout sketch was not located on the origin or the Axis was changed.  My two sketches in the 3D Board view were different.

Hi @jbasiago

I hope you are doing well!

Sorry to hear that you meet the rotate issue.

We want to check with you if you click Replace Board Outline when you do Push to 3D PCB.

If not, then it may have some issues here.

Would you mind inviting me into your project to have a look?

I was unaware of the Replace Board Outline button, so I did not push it. You are certainly welcome to look at my projects. Let me know what to do.

Thanks,
