Problem with mouse cursor in Library editing !

It had been more than 6 months since I had opened Fusion, at each opening I am sweaty wondering if it will crash, and for once I only had one crash.

I noticed that there were updates, but still not the possibility of:

-Import Logo or images in a simple way without going through a bmp system that dates back a century

-Make mounting hole vias (Kikcad offers it in the library)

-Create shapes without the use of a calculating machine when you have to work in a relative grid

-Importing illustrations into a diagram such as transistor PINs is practical, isn't it?

-Create a diagram with several PCBs for the same project

And the list is long...

But there I have a problem with the library editor, hey yes again the libraries, when I use the wide cursor it disappears and we do not see the movement of the mouse, watch the video it will be clearer, this problem is very old but has never been solved, we prefer to add dozens of other complex functions but not improve the base.

Sorry to be a little sneery, I do not criticize the evolution of Fusion on the contrary, it is all to your honor, but wouldn't it be wiser sometimes to improve the basics, simple things, rather than add functions?

Why add floors to a building if the foundations are not consolidated ?

Hello @RitchieFromParis

Always nice to hear from you. So let's address some points

1. We now have the import SVG command in the PLace menu under Design. This is the recommended way to get Logos into Fusion now, in both the schematic and 2D PCB.
2. We have a library with some of these called Wirepad, however in a future release (relatively soon) we will have a dedicated Plated Through Hole Pad command that you'll be able to use the 2D PCB.

3. This one is still on the todo

4. Could you elaborate on this one? I think the import SVG could cover this need but please confirm and let me know if I missed something.

5. This one is also still on the to do.

What a strange behavior in the library, I'll bring it up to the developers.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi Jorge,

Thank you for your response and your professionalism, as usual.

I'm happy to read that things are moving forward, it's long but it's progressing, as far as editing shapes on the grid is concerned, it's not easy to explain this here, but if for example I want to draw two rectangles on the grid, the first is relatively easy to do, whatever, for the second it's more complicated because I have to refer to the grid, which is not practical at all, couldn't you simply allow you to draw shapes but independently of the grid and then leave us the choice of Position this shape on this grid, once again a few simple methods of drawing shapes like Adobe 'Illustrator, It would be great and we would save a lot of time.

For the cursor problem in the library editor, it has always existed and have already reported it several times, but without improvements, am I once again the only one to have this problem on the planet? I doubt it, because I have it on 2 computers of different generations.

Thank you again Jorge and sorry but as you know I no longer use Fusion for large projects, which means that sometimes I have not opened it for several months.

Hello @RitchieFromParis ,

I hope you're doing well. @HelenChen-Autodesk See the video from Ritchie above, do we have an open ticket for this? I'm referring to the cross hair issue specifically.

For the drawing tools, if you can provide more examples that would help. Right now you can draw the rectangle in 2 random place, they will be on grid and then you can move them wherever you want. It sounds like you want something other than this.

Hi @RitchieFromParis , @jorge_garcia ,

Thank you very much for your reporting.

I checked this library cursor issue on latest Prod build 2602.0.71, I cannot reproduce this issue yet. I will feedback to corresponded teammates for help as well.

For the crash issue Ritchie mentioned you hit once this time, it was using March release's build, could you please keep sending the crash report to us if you meet any of them in the future? For this specified crash, so far you are the only one hit it, we will keep an eye on this too. Please feel free to let us know what's the last step you did before met such issue, then it would be very helpful for us to investigate it later.

Much appreciated and so sorry for any inconvenience.

Hope you have a great day.

Best regards,

Helen
