Please add manufacturers of electronics components

Because not all component manufacturers provide the files for CAD programs, for their components on their sites, it would be great to have it available with the rest of the part manufacturers within Fusion 360.  As I am still fairly new to the CAD software, meaning I am not an engineer or utilize the software daily, and I don't a Space Mouse to make things easier; I am sure I am not the only one in this boat, and McMaster-Carr does not list electronic components for insertion.

Please consider adding companies such as Digikey, Waldon, Adafruit, and the likes.

Thank you

Hello @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. In the ADD command click on the Open library manager button on the bottom right. Once that opens go to the available tab and you'll see that many more libraries are available including Adafruit. I also encourage you to take the time to learn to make your own components, it's one of the most useful skills you can have when working with ECAD.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hi @jorge_garcia

Thanks for the fairly quick response.  Unfortunately, I was a little over eager to accepting your solution.  I went into Fusion360 and could not find anywhere resembling your solution.  Could you please link screencasts of each step you mentioned?

Thank you,

Tharon

While I agree with @jorge_garcia that building your own components is the best way to understand what is going on, I strongly advise not to try this with the current state of the software. Custom components and libraries are totally broken, and I have lost many hours thinking I am the dunce when it simply was a bug the software.

The concept of this software is excellent, but only faintly visible at the horizon . Wait till the next version is out - promised mid-April.
