PCB shape not drawn in pdf export

Hello everyone!

I have designed a very simple PCB schematic, within a specific shape. I can export to PDF all the layers, except the one showing the outline/shape of the designed PCB.

I can see the layer that I want, the pcb shape in pdf preview, but after I save the file, the pdf is without the pcb shape. I have attached the screenshoots with the preview of the pdf before saving and the pdf file.

I'm using Autodesk Fusion 360, 2.0.9937,

on macOS 10.16.0 (Big Sur)

Hi, @Anonymous

We have looked at the printed PDF, actually, the outline is printed. Please see screen capture attached below(capture from output PDF).

I have adjusted the width of the top straight outline to 0.01 to make it obvious. And by default the outline width is zero, this is the reason why the board shape displayed in the output PDF with default settings is indistinctly visible.

Thanks,

Yiqiu

Not sure to what you are referring to, the outline is not printed or exported into the pdf, when I transfer the same schematic to Eagle, everything works fine. I'm exporting as a black and white print so I'm not sure what your screenshot is showing, I'm also a bit new to the electrical part of the fusuion 360, how do I set the outline width?

Hi, @Anonymous

The way to change outline width is demonstrated below, You could use single mouse click to select outline and change the width from inspector.

We have checked the status of output pdf on both Windows and Mac devices, the visibility of outline for the same pdf is worse on Mac devices. Which might be caused by the higher screen resolution or ways of graphics rendering.  Would you please zoom in much to look at the details?

The attached pdf is the one I exported.

Thanks,

Yiqiu
