Packages on 3D PCB have disappeared

Hello,

I have been working on a PCB for a while, and attaching 3D models of all of the components I've had to build to their libraries. All of the work has been done in Fusion 360... none in EAGLE.

My PCB no longer shows the 3D packages in the 3D PCB viewer. I don't know at precisely what point they disappeared, but I can't work out how to make them reappear. Is there some sort of toggle somewhere I may have bumped to deactivate the 3D packages? All of the visibility buttons in the Browser are activated. If I create a new PCB project from scratch with the same components (from the same custom libraries) they DO appear in the 3D PCB viewer. I can see all of the copper traces, names, and component placement marking lines etc... just not anything in the third dimension above the surface of the board.

Any help is much appreciated - I'm quite new to this!

Cheers,

Josh

I too have the same problem where I was able to successfully create my own library with 3d parts that worked initially, and then randomly disappeared without any reason...

Hello @josh_l , @scott.nortman ,

There is a "Remove 3D PCB link" command under "View 3D PCB". If you run it, it will break the link to the old 3D PCB document and next time when you "View 3D PCB", you will get a new document. This helps if something is wrong with the old 3D PCB document. Can you try and see if it helps?

Thanks, that worked beautifully.

I am then left with an old version of the 3D PCB document in my browser, which I can't seem to delete because Fusion says that it still has references somewhere. Do you know how to remove any references and get it to let me delete the old 3D PCB document?

The reason you can't delete the file is there is reference relationship between the 3D document and some other documents (most probably the old versions of the 2D board).
