No component when creating it through importing from Eagle style (.lbr) library

Hi everyone,

Until now I was using using this method to import new components in my fusion Hub library:

- 1. Download the .lbr file (Eagle style) from manufacturer or supplier tools for CAD downloads.

- 2. In Fusion open my library and add component/import Component, the Open library manager and add from local the .lbr file, select Use the new imported library and close Library manager.

- 3. Come back to the import component window, just select in the new imported library the component and press Ok.

This procedure used to create the new component in my Fusion Hub library and then there I could refine it (e.g. adding the 3D model, check pads...)

But this is not anymore working, from the last update the imported library shows the name of the component but it is empty, so when importing there is no new component created in my Fusion Hub library.

I tested different components from different Cad model sources (Mouser, Digikey, even from manufacturer tools directly). It looks like Fusion is not able to read Eagle libraries? Should we download the cad model in another format? Use a different importing procedure?

Below my Fusion info right now:

-Fusion 2606.1.22 x86_64
-Active Plan: Subscription
-Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (26200.7623)

What happened?

Best regards

HI There,

Thank you for sharing this issue. I have gone through it. I was not able to reproduce the issue that you shared. Can you follow the steps below for importing the library? This is a better way of importing the library components.

  1. Open Fusion
  2. Open the data panel and upload the downloaded .lbr file and the 3D Package
  3. Create -> New -> Electronics library
  4. Create -> Component -> Import -> Select the uploaded lbr file from Fusion Hub
  5. Right click on the Footprint -> Create new 3D Package -> Insert the uploaded 3D Model
  6. Finish the 3D Package
  7. Save the library file

(view in My Videos)

You can follow the video that I recorded with the steps. I hope this resolves your issue. If you are still facing the issue. Please share the dataset that you are trying to import. For the 3D Model, I would suggest downloading them as step files.

Thank you.
