new version, PCB files wont update in the main assy!

i have a pcb file, that was updated, and everytime i click in the get latest or update, for the main assy it is used in it does nothing!

So there are a few things to check, I've been surprised by this before. So first, before the main assembly updates the 3D PCB itself needs to be updated. So if you make a change to the 2D PCB, you need to have the 3D PCB open in order to absorb the changes. Once the 3D PCB has updated, then you can go to the main assembly and you should see that the 3D PCB is out of date and then you can update it.

So in short, in order for the main assembly to update correctly you have to make sure the intermediate 3D PCBs have updated. If you have a chance post a screen recording as that would be helpful.

yes i know the procedure, its normally fine, but even if it not updated ( the 3d file) it should still not cause a crash. i dont need to up date the main assy all the time. especially seeing how SLOW fusion is with saving to the cloud etc, and i have 900+ MBS internet speed!

typically the behavior for past few months is..

i go about working on SCH then BRD, then when needed, i update the 3d pcb, and then if i need to up update the main assy, but i don't need to update the main assy for all the changes, BUT usually at the end of my day or when needed i update the main assy and save everything. and its fine, but a lot of the times when i save all my work, quit fusion, then restart the next day, the 3D project file won't open! then i have to revert to previous versions and gets so messy and confusing.

this is what i'm saying, it will for for a few days, and savse all is good, but sometime next day, or during the day, it will freeze upon saving the PCB files. thi shas happens at least 30 times!!!! and because im in sydney, i can't get any realtime support form autodesk, and waiting for answer from forums, is slow. so i rely so much on CHATGPT, to help me, at lease i feel i can vent my frustrations, and it does try hard to help, although it makes a lot of mistakes.. 

WE REALLY NEED TO GET RID OF MULTIPLE FILES FOR PCB DESIGN, JUST HAVE ONE FILE ( A CONTAINER) AND ONE TAB, WITH SUB TABS FOR EACH SECTION, SCH/BRD/3D VIEW ETC!

Thanks for letting me know what you are seeing. So it seems like these issues happen sporadically but often enough to create frustration. It would be really good to find some sort of common thread between these crashes. I don't know if you notice it happening at a specific time of day or when performing a specific operation. 

Also thank you for the suggestion of reducing the number of files. It is something being considered.

hi jorge, well its not a particular time of day, i think its whenever i switch to 3d view OR i update form anther assy, or mostly when saving or closing, i dont think its form doing actual changes with each design.

and YES, let have a CONTANER for the PCB , just one document, that holds all the other sections, only one save. but have better navigation buttons to switch. or to update when needed. this would reduce the clutter so much, and possibly END the SYNC issue for ever! and if it works, then i want lifetime subscription!
