Need help with importing old eagle pcb and sch file into project of fusion 360 E

Hello, learning Fusion 360 electronics.

I have figured out how to create a project.

then add existing pcb and sch files to the project as a "reference to a schematic and pcb documents"

How do I move the reference sch and reference pcb to the new schematic and new pcb based on the reference documents?

Or where in the documentation is the process described where I take old separate eagle sch and pcb files and create a project with the files?

I have found out that if I make a change in the sch, the pcb is updated to a point.

I can't change the part in sch or pcb.

All I can do is input values to the parts and move attributes and values around to clean up the schematic or pcb.

thanks

Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for joining the Fusion 360 forum. If you have a few minutes take a look at this short YouTube video we made regarding adding existing EAGLE design files to Fusion 360. Please remember that you need to create an electronic document by clicking on the File Pull-down menu and selecting New Electronic Design.

From the electronic document click on the Schematic and Board links to add your schematic and board to the document.

You have stated that you are not able to move the components. It is possible that the components are locked in place. You can easily find out by going to the properties of the selected asset. If this is not the case, can you share the file?

Best Regards,

Ed
