When I move parts from one sheet to another all the values and names of the parts disappear. Do someone have a solution or explanation to this problem?

Seems like it possible to get them back by right clicking the component and selecting "restore position". However it seems like a bug that the workaround is necessary.

I just tried this, and had no problem.
Can you share a screencast or explain your steps to recreate it?

I tried to recreate it. It seems that if I move single component between sheets it does not happen. The problem only occur when I try to move groups between sheets.

Under is a image of the group when it is not moved. Then I used the move command to move it to another sheet within the schematic file. And the designators and the values are gone. Shown in the last image.

@christian.wilhelmsen2012

Just tried this, and everything works fine, names and values moves with it.

You might need to report this to support to get it figured out.

Hi @christian.wilhelmsen2012 ,

Thanks for bringing this up. I tried it a few times and all you have to do to get the text back is use the restore position command. Apply it to the group and you'll be set.

Now getting on to the end of 2023 ..... This problem is still apparent when moving groups between sheets.
Is this ever going to be addressed ???

Hi @steve_brettVVMUU,

I've bumped this thread. Now just to confirm, the Restore position command still solves it right? I understand you shouldn't have to do that but if you do it do the attributes come back?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Thankyou Jorge
Yes the same Restore Position fix works but I couldn't make it work on the whole group ... had to do every component individually.
Didn't do much to fix the near heart attack that came when the entire weeks worth of work seemed to disintegrate before me !!   Lucky I found this thread eventually which gave a work-around.

For me designs tend to expand rapidly during the early phases of a project as new ideas and possibilities become apparent. Repagination is important  and should be easier.
There are some issues with grouping as well but thats another conversation.

Hi,
I would like to echo the opinions expressed so far in this thread. The problem with moving the groups seems to persist. Clicking on each component individually is not a valid workaround in my opinion. Especially because the labelling has to be completely repositioned afterwards and if you forget a component, this not only leads to an error in the documentation, but actually to a faulty circuit.
I really like working with Fusion 360, but this bug is more than just an ‘inconvenience’ for me.

If there is an update to this issue, or there was already an update that I missed, I would appreciate a reply in this thread.

Hi @christian.staudigl,

I hope you're doing well. You can apply restore position to a group same as with any other command. Here is the workflow.

1) Make a component selection

2) Activate the Autoposition attributes command, set it up however you would like.

3) Hold ctrl+right click a member of the group. That will apply the Autoposition to the entire selection of components.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
