Modifying the name of a NET in an existing BUS

I am develping a multi-page schematic and have identified several BUS's with over 20 NET's in each BUS. Nearing the end I would like to change the names of the NET's to be more descriptive. Changing the name of the NET doesn't change the name in the BUS however, and I have found no way to go into the properties to change the NET names. When I do I receive the error,    Error: Bus alias already exists.

Is there any way to update names in a BUS without having to redo the entire BUS?

Thanks for your help!

Hello there!

I am attaching a video of how I am doing what I believe you are describing .. As you can see i have made a bus from a bunch of signals in the schematic, then changed the NAME of one, selected ALL, and then confirm the change to the bus.  I verify after that all are changed also.  It seems to work but maybe there is a workflow where it does not .. Please let me know if this helps.
