Meander tool does not work

I created a design and routed some differential pairs. Now I want to tune them.  I select the meander tool and click on a pair and it shows me 87% 100%.  I try to drag, nothing happens, I try clicking a net, nothing happens, clicking outside?  Nothing happens.  Try it on multiple different pairs?  Still nothing.

This seems typical of this tool, adjusting work is so much slower in Fusion it's maddening.  And as usual there's no good documentation I can find except for an old youtube video that shows half the process.

Hi @eric_engineer

I hope you are doing well!

I have a quick try on the meander tool and it works well for me.

If you don't mind, you can send me your file to check. I will send my email address to you as a private message.

Regards,

Hi @eric_engineer,

The first thing to check is what is the tolerance for the length of your diff pairs. The default tolerance is kind of big (10mm) go into the DRC > Misc tab and set the tolerance you want (For high-speed USB they recommend 2mm if I recall correctly). You'll also see a gap factor that by default is set to 2.5, set it to 1 you'll be able to get tighter coils.

The general best practice for meanders is to start from one end of the pair and move towards the other. RIght clicking will switch between symmetrical and asymmetrical meandering.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.
