Make Variants visible in 3D

God morning,

I've made an Eagle-Projekt with six different variants. To see the differences between the variants (some parts are only used in one or two variants) in 3D I tried to change the variant in schematic and push the design to Fusion 360.

But every time all components are placed.

Then I tried to import the Eagle-Design to Fusion 360 and there is the same behavior. All parts are placed to 3D.

It would be a great benefit if it would be possible to see the "real" 3D of each variant.

Is this possible? If yes, how this can be done?

@m.neujahr_at_moe , can you go to the  PCB document, select the footprint and check if it associates with the correct 3d package in the property dialog?

all footprints have a correct 3D-package.

Let me explain:

• I have a design with four resistors: R1, R2, R3 and R4
• Variant 1 has all resitors
• Variant 2 has only R1, R2 and R4
• Variant 3 has only R2 and R4

If I change the variant in Schematic, the changes are visible in the Board-Layout (see pictures):

But with every variant the 3D looks like this:

I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, there are no news on this front yet. I'll add your voice to the existing tickets for this issue. We are definitely aware of the need for all of the views to reflect the information available on the 2D PCB.
