Libraries I copy from one project to another are not always available

I have a number of Fusion360 projects. I am trying to copy an electronics library from one to another. In the second project I have a folder called "Electronics Libraries", where I want to keep all the libraries I will be using for the various boards I will be making. When I copy a library from another project into this folder, about 30% of the time everything works perfectly and I can use the library in any given board in that project folder. However, the rest of the time, it's as if the copied library doesn't exist at all. Am I misunderstanding something fundamental about how libraries work in Fusion360?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Hi @nsbernar ,

I hope you're doing well. In Fusion 360, libraries can be accessed from anywhere in the hub so it generally isn't necessary to copy libraries between projects and it may create confusion to have additional copies of the same library. I would recommend setting up a centralized project with your libraries , all other projects in the hub can access those libraries.

See this video for how the setup should be:

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for your reply. I'm a bit confused though, because libraries from other projects simply aren't available to me at all. I agree that your method is preferable, and would love to use it, but the Library Manager simply doesn't see libraries in other projects.

Thank you
