Inconsistent display of packages with/without canvas

I have three components (blue, golden, tantal) , all built from scratch in Fusion 360 - including the tantal cap.  Everything is fine when I do not display the canvas.

When I show with canvas,

  • Blue (left) is still shown
  • Golden and Tantal do not show
  • As a secondary result, with canvas the connectors are not shifted. I had reported in other posts that two 3pin-connectors had been shifted be 2.54mm, the two 4-pin connectors by 3.8mm to the right. I have no idea why it works here, and still not sure if groundhog-shifter's day will be returning after some refreshs.

Hi dieter.menne,

Thank you for letting us know your progress. Are you using the same libraries? Did you use a Managed Library to build this design? or did you create the library and performed the mapping in Fusion 360?

Please keep us informed.

Best Regards,

Ed

The connectors were from the library - I already had a PM-exchange with you colleague. Too bad, after another retry the items were shifted again, but I cannot reconstruct what I did in-between, so it is no informational.

The example shown above, on the other hand, was made without any steps in-between, so I am sure it is not simply me treating my parts unfriendly.

Hi @dieter.menne ,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Before this issue is addressed, could you please try below workaround to remove the cached files (.f3d and .txt) from the circuitslib folder and try again?

I posted the workaround in another thread too: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-electronics/wrong-designation-in-3d/m-p/9378785/highlight/...

You could find the circuitslib folder from below path on your Windows OS:

C:\Users\#### YourOSAccount ####\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\### YourAccount###\circuitslib

By the way, if your OS is Mac, you could find the circuitslib folder from:

Users/###UserName###/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/###YourAccount###/Circuitslib

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Helen
