Imported device pad size enlarged

I use a component with a TO92 package. The device is created in a library with space between the pads as shown in the picture. The foot print has been created by the fusion generator, so I suppose it is perfectly compliant.

When I import the device in my pcb footprint, the size of the pads are enlarged and overlap. I didn't see it first and I ordered the pcb which of course can't work.

Why are these pads enlarged specifically on this device?

Hi @Coquelicot34 ,

Welcome to the forums, I hope you are well. You have been bit by the Annular ring settings. Running the DRC would have caught the fact that the pads where swelling and shorted so I recommend that in the future you always run a DRC before sending things off for manufacturing.

See this article for the full details on the Annular ring settings(formerly known as Restring).
https://www.autodesk.com/products/eagle/blog/what-you-didnt-know-about-eagle-restring/

Basically, you have very thin copper rings and to make sure they are manufacturable by default we have a rather large annular ring requirement. That's why they swelled. You always want to make sure that you set the annular ring settings to match whatever your board house can do.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hi Jorge

Thanks for the explanations.

Yes, I finally understood that something like this was going on, but could not find where to change the default values. And I still can't. The link you provide is for Eagle. But under Fusion 360, in the DRC rules tab, I can see nothing. I can only change the default width for the traces.
