I couldn't set IC555 spice model.

I follow this official tutorial.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqwHkB9lsUo

After that I tried simulation. But , I could not apply spice model to ic555(LM555NR-PDIP-T8) and got some error.

This IC is in the fusion 360 tutorial library.

I get spice model from LTwiki NE555.

https://ltwiki.org/files/LTspiceIV/lib/sub/NE555.sub

I follow this solution but it doesn't work.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/The...

I have checked his article too. The reference parts is not appeared when I load spice model file(.mdl).

https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/blog/spice-simulation-part-5-schematic-spice-mapping/

I add some information with pictures.

Any solutions or better ways to do simulation? Thank you.

Hi,

Unfortunately I'm having the same problem with spice simulations. Videos and training are not enough to use it in a convenient way. When we post a question about spice matter, nobody answers, as happened to your question that was posted on April and we are in December without any answer...

The fact is that standard spice models (that are included in Eagle folders) are not accurate enough to produce reliable simulations (transistor gain is not the right one, temperature coefficient is not te correct, we can't find the model of the ic we are using, etc), so we must have the possibility to use the manufacturer's files, or even modify parameters on standard components, and have a clear (even if is not easy) way to integrate all that data in our simulation model. When we try it, all we get is error messages or wrong results... I don't even know if it's my problem or problem of Autodesk. The fact is that when I search for training or answers, or I don't find them, or the solutions I find (very few) don't work.

Despite all those problems, spice simulation  is a very important tool, but should work, and if it works, users should have easy access to training info or see their questions answered in reasonable time. If something doesn't work, we should have to know it . If it works, we should have to know how. If Autodesk is not interested to have a professional simulation product integrated in Fusion Electronics, ok, is Autodesk right, but we should know it clearly. Im my  opinion is not reasoble announcing that we have at our disposal a professional simulation tool that we can't use properly and is not clear why.

Autodesk team made an incredible job improving Fusion Electronics. Electronics design is more easy and reliable than ever. Hope you can do the same in the future with electronics simulation.

Hi @mario.brizida,

I hope you're doing well. We are precisely working on improving these things, we know the simulator right now is not friendly to use. Thank you for your feedback, it's always appreciated.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
