Hub-library duplicates: merge or cross-project “where-used”?

We are currently moving our librarian-controlled parts from library.io to hub libraries, and Fusion began duplicating and in some case triplicating libraries on 2025-10-23 at 14:11.

Because all of our schematics, PCBs, and 3D models pull parts by library name, different engineers wound up linking to different libraries with the same name. we can’t tell which PCB projects reference which copy, so deleting any duplicate libraries risks breaking those linkages. Librarians need either:

- A merge command that collapses two hub libraries into one while re-targeting all references, or
- A “where used” report that lists every project using a given library URN so we can re-target and then purge.

Current Fusion shows no merge option and the library manager’s where-used only scans within a single project, not across projects and drives. Is there an undocumented CLI, API, or upcoming patch that handles this?

Hi @eapodaca65K6N ,

I hope you're doing well. I'm reaching out to the developers to get ideas on how to proceed here. This is definitely a worse case scenario.

I would really like to know how this duplication and triplication occurred. Normal conversion from library.io to Fusion won't do that so really curious how you brought these libraries into Fusion.

Hi @eapodaca65K6N ,

I spoke to our developers and they came up with a way to help narrow which libraries are being used, then you can use a swap libraries command to get all the designs on the same library. See the video, let me know if you have any questions.
