how to use GND planes on different layers (top and bottom)

I am working on a PCB with components on both TOP and BOTTOM layers, and I created a GND plane for each layer. My first question is why do I still have air-wire errors between GND pins on the same layer if they are both connected to the GND plane. The second question is how do I solve air-wire errors between GND pins on TOP and GND pins on BOTTOM. I added screen shots for each situation. TY!!

1. Your ground plane is disconnected at the spot where pin 15 connects to it, meaning that this does not connect to the rest of the plane so there is no electrical connection.

2. It looks like your bottom and your top planes might not be connected for this you need to ensure to add via's that create an electrical connection.

Oh so when I have isolated parts of the plane they don t provide a connection for the GND pins, right? I thought wherever the plane shows, it works, mb 😅. And for the top and bottom connection, do I need to place a single GND via's or do I place one in each place I have a top pin - bottom pin connection? Ty for your answer ❤️

You can use vias to connect the isolated areas of your copper pour to provide a connection through the other layer. It is generally recommended to place multiple vias and place them in a way so they reduce your return paths and lower the impedance. If you just want as many vias as possible, you can also use our new "via stitching" function and target the GND signal so that the entire board gets filled.
