How to place components in Fusion free version

I am trying to place my components on a board but Fusion keeps complaining that the free version does not support components which are outside the boundary.

How is one supposed to place the components inside the board, when every try results in this error message?

It seems to be possible to place components in the positive coordinate space but not in the negative.

The PCB outline is derived from a mechanical design. I think that’s why the origin is placed in the middle of the outline.

Hi @raywoSZTV2,

I hope you're doing well. The free version of Fusion only allows components to be placed in the postive X and Y axes.  So very simply all you have to do is shift the board up and to the right to be able to place all of your components within the board.

If you haven't pushed to 3D yet then this is all you have to do. If a 3D assembly is involved the 3D  PCB may have to be relocated but that will be a one time effort.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
