how to pattern multiple objects?

I am running into some issues using patterns, e.g. on tracks:

- The pattern command does not remember your latest values, but rather some useless default values. So if you want to apply pattern to 10 tracks, you have to fill out the form 10 times....

- I have not managed to apply pattern to a group of objects - maybe I am doing something wrong (tips are welcome)

The command would be much more useful if it would persistent (or at least its values), and/or if you could apply it to a group of objects.

you are correct that Pattern does not remember its settings.  I'm not sure that this would always be a good thing, but I understand the request.  You can pattern multiple things at once, depending on what you mean by "thing".  You can pattern several bodies at the same time by just selecting them as inputs to the pattern command.  If that is not what you are referring to, please add more info to help us help you.  Thanks.

This is exactly what I tried to do. Selecting anything before clicking the pattern command does not seem to do anything. After clicking the pattern command, I can only click on a single item, selecting multiple items (ctrl/cmd/shift - click) does not work.

This is what I had in mind:  Set the type to "Bodies", and you can select multiple bodies.  If you have  a different example, please share a model and a screencast of your workflow (and some notion of the desired result).

Sorry, as I was posting in the Electronics section and referring to tracks, I thought it would be clear that I meant the pattern command in Electronics design / layout:

If that command would work like the 3D design command you referred to, there would not be a problem 🙂

I have tried that ULP, it works on components, but not on tracks.
