The title of this post is probably not clear.
I have a 2D PCB that already has an outline in the Dimension layer. I have a new PCB outline contained in a DXF file. How do I import the dxf file into the exisitng 2D PCB?
I followed the steps in this link: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-import-a-DX....
First, I don't really understand the difference between "Create Associative PCB" and "Create Independent PCB".
Using the above steps, I created a 3D PCB from the imported outline but I can't link it project folder because there are already files in the folder. Instead, I tried Pushing to a 2D PCB named "untitled" and then I copied the created outline into my existing 2D PCB (I have first moved the existing outline to an image layer) but I couldn't select and move the outline to the position I wanted. It seemd to be locked in the first place I droped it in the copy process.
What's the best way to update an existing 2D PCB outline with a new one from a DXF file?
