Hot Keys for switching layers when routing traces/ Adding logos to the silkscreen

I am going crazy having to click the layer with the mouse every time I need to place a via and go to a different layer to route. Is there hot keys to go to each routing layer. I know there is ways to customize hotkeys but I cannot find documentation to show how this can be done.

The second issue I am having is importing a company logo to place on the silkscreen of the board

You can indeed make your own hotkeys keys, for example switching between top(1) and bottom layer(16):

List with commands can be found here, not sure if this list is 100% up to date but most of the needed commands are there.

Hi @ryanW2YZ6,

I hope you're doing well. @Evert_2N3055 has already answered the first part of your question. For bringing in a logo, you need to have the logo in a bitmap format. It's currently the only image type that can be brought in. If it's for a PCB then you will need the logo in monochrome (purely black and white no additional colors). Then you can use the import-bmp-simple.ulp that comes with Fusion.

One tip for the logo, use the lowest resolution you can get away with. It will minimize the amount of data generated in the PCB. I'll be making a video about this shortly.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

@jorge_garcia

Great I really appreciate the video. I am still having difficulty bring it in and I am unsure what layer to place it on. is there a document that breaks down what each layer is meant for

Hi @ryanW2YZ6,

I hope you're doing well. Here's the document explaining the layer usage
https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=ECD-LAYERS

Generally speaking, its best to import to a layer that isn't used for anything else that way it's easy to isolate and control.  Often users create a new layer for this but you can use one of the document layers.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
