Fusion Electronics crashing everytime saving a design!

For 2 or 3 weeks now, maybe longer, Fusion360 - Electronics is crashing everytime I save my modifications in PCB-mode. I submitted error reports everytime.

After restarting F360 the new data is present. Something is happening, when fusion has saved everything.

Is that a known issue?

Hello @HouseOfMollari

Welcome to the forum!! This is really concerning. Let me ask you if you try different designs do you still get the crash. Maybe it's something specific to this board, that's my initial hunch.

If other boards work, would you be willing to share this file with us so that we can review what might be going on?

Thank you in advanced.

Thanks for your answer.

You are right. It seems to be only a specific project/file.

I exported all files to EAGLE 9.x and Fusion Archive, created new projects and reimported everything. Saving then works (EAGLE and Fusion Archive based).

If you want to check the original project, I would like to add you to my project, since exporting/importing data will correct what ever issue is in the original files.

Hi @HouseOfMollari

I hope you are doing well!

From your description, I guess you meet the save crash when you save the Electronic files and check the Milestone check box. It is a known issue and will be fixed in the next release.

Before we release the fix for it, please not check the checkbox to save files if there is no need to save the electronics files as milestone.

If you need to save the electronics files as milestone, please try below workaround:

1. Save the electronic files without checking the milestone check box

2. Close all electronic files

3. In the data panel, choose the file you want, right click on it, choose Create Milestone

4. When the Milestone is created successfully, you can reopen the electronic files and continue to finish your work

Please have a try, thanks!

I created a milestone several weeks ago by checking that checkbox. I don´t now, wether my issue persists since then.

Now I created a milestone as you mentioned, but that does not solve the issue, neither project-file only nor every file.

Creating a new project file only and linking schematics and pcb to keep their history does not fix the issue too.

Hi @HouseOfMollari

Thanks for your feedback! It seems that it still can't work well when the files already have the milestone.

Would you mind createing a new Electronic Design and referrence a copy of the schematic and 2d PCB to have a try?

For the new Electronic Design, do not create a milestone before the fix release.

I hope it can help you to continue your work.

Sorry for the inconveniences.

I did something similar already. Saving works then, but history is lost in this case. If someone requires the history, a backup must be held at some place.

I do not need the history, so I can work ahead again.

So that´s all a workaround...

Hi @HouseOfMollari

When you do the workaround, you will have a new version 1 schematic and 2d PCB.

You can still keep those crash files. They should work welll when we release the fix for it.

I will keep you updated when we release the fix for it.

Hi @HouseOfMollari

Today we release Fusion 360 V2.0.10440, and the crash issue should have been fixed.

Please have a try, thanks!
