Function Place Component - scale still missing

Hi,

I am really sorry that several months have passed since my first notice regarding the missing scale and yet nothing has changed.

Do you ever plan to return that scale? Or are users supposed to do things by trial and error?

There are really many electronic components, and I don't have time to research datasheets and choose a given component for x hours before I figure out which one will suit me with its dimensions and the spacing of the pads. Even worse, this cannot be practiced in a school with students. Golden Eagle, simple and quick selection of components, clear control, no frills.

Can someone please explain to me how the "place component" function in the current implementation is supposed to be better than the good old "add..." function? I only see problems and delays from designing.

We currently use Eagle at our school and switching to Fusion Electronics is unimaginable, let alone feasible. Several students I tried Fusion electronics with for the exam were unhappy and literally cursed what a piece of *** it was. I'm not surprised at them. These will probably not be future customers.

Apart from this - the performance of the whole program is simply appalling, which I read everywhere on the forum, as well as about many other problems, but still no one from Autodesk has understood what customers want - a simple, fast and powerful tool = keep Eagle.

Fusion is fine for 3D modeling, but electronics is just a step aside. Sad.

@jorge_garcia

Hi,

today is 14 days and I still haven't received a reply.

How does Autodesk plan to deal with that scale in Fusion electronics? Is it such a problem to return them there or is the problem elsewhere?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi @michal.horacek,

Sorry for the delay in getting back. This request just hasn't been prioritized, I can bump it to get more attention to it but that's about all I can do.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
