Electronics: Forward/Back annotation warning bar is too subtle when opening only a schematic or only a layout

When I open just a schematic or just a board layout, there is a warning that F/B annotation is disabled. This warning is the "normal" orange message bar below the toolbar. However, since working with a layout nearly always shows this bar due to the 3D PCB being out of sync with the layout, you tend to ignore the message there.

It used to be the case in previous Eagle versions that this warning bar was in a HUGE yellow/black striped bar across the screen, and this was visually distinct from anything else in the program. It used to have a "oh no danger" feel and you NEVER accidentally edited a schematic or layout while ignoring this message.

However, since I have learned to basically ignore the orange message bar while layouting, I'm prone to sometimes breaking consistency by accident because I ignored that bar in a schematic, for example.

PLEASE make this one important message stand out again. Make it the ugly yellow/black stripes, or at least make it twice the size and RED! This message needs to be visually distinct from anything else that creates a message bar at the top of the window!

Hi isedhe,

Thank you for taking the time to participate in our forum.  Some ppl did complain about the large Black/Yellow bar, but I thought it was perfect due to the gravity of the issuing problem it could become.  I will inform our developers about this and see if they can develop something a bit more obvious.

Thanks again for taking the time to tell us about it.

Ed
