Electronic component with two symbols

Hello. I am trying to import a component into Fusion and am having trouble importing the full two symbol device. The component exists as two parts (A and B) or symbols in DipTrace. Part A is for GPIO and PartB is for High Speed. When I export this to Eagle format and import into either Eagle or Fusion, I only see partA of the symbol linked to the footprint. Can you please help me to specify or import correctly the two parts from DipTrace, (originally deom KiCAD) and have a device that contains one footprint and two symbols. Regards, James

Hi @james.mcgovernNHGSY ,

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with DIPTRACE to know how the export has to be done or if it's even properly supported. That would be a question for DIPTRACE support. That fact that you get the first symbol is promising, if there was a way to just export the second symbol then within Fusion 360 or EAGLE you could just make a new device and map the pins.

Sorry I don't have more info for you.

Hello Jorge, thanks for your reply. I tried replicating the component and deleting the first symbol so that the second symbol would export, but when I import this library into Fusion, the symbol does not appear, just the footprint. So, I copied both symbols into the component and exported that and I can get this imported into Fusion. The only issue I have is that both symbols appear on my schematic and I cant move one without the other moving. I will probably keep this component on one schematic page and use a hierarchical symbol on the main page to connect to various pins.

Regards, James

Hi @james.mcgovernNHGSY ,

I hope you're doing well. If you now have both symbols in a Fusion Device, then within the Fusion library you may be able to separate the symbol into two separate symbols which become gates in the device. See this video series for more details

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
