Editing Rules for Net Classes

I would like to edit the rules for the net classes, but I have not found a way to do it. The 'Net Classes' button brings up a dialog for creating net classes and assigning nets to them, but it lacks the 'rules' tab. There is the 'Design Rules' button that brings up the 'Design Rules' dialog, but it does not have tab from which the net class rules can be edited.

Does anyone know how to edit rules for the net classes?

Hi @markgEVY95,

The net-class design rules (drill size, coppwe width and copper clearance) have been moved to the Design Rules dialog (CLI command drc) with all the other design rules. This dialog has 2 views: General Rules that contain all legacy global rules that used to be found in the DRC dialog: Clearance, Size, etc tabs. and Custom Rules this contains the legacy net-class rules as well as any other rules that the user creates. The custom rules can be customized using object scopes that restrict the rule for a small set of objects. The legacy net-class rules are just a subset of teh rule scoping functionality we have added in Septemper 2024 release. Please see below a couple of snapshots with how some of the net-class rules are shown in the new Design Rules dialog:

Net-class Copper Clearance rules:

Net-class Copper Width rules:

To add a new rule you can use the + button that you can see in the dialog center panel.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
