Can a section of a PCB be exported for test pcb of a part of a board

It would be most handy if it were possible to output for pcb raw test board but not whole design.

I tried setting board black to just have the section I want to get early test boards for tweek of a power supply section.   Using Export Gerbers NC drill and assembly ran but it made a board with all the components not yet placed on the PCB off to the side being on a larger board than the drawn board blank.

I realize forming full new design from my board and removing huge chunks of it would allow for what I want (test of one power supply section) but if all that extra work and file clutter can be avoided that would be very nice.  I am unable to find web hits for this but this question must have been asked I would think.

Thank you for your time in advance,   Mark

This question is not 'hot' as I decided to make separate project copy in new folder and strip out the components there.

It would still be nice to know if this can be done in the future.   Thanks, Mark

Hi @mjstn2011,

I hope you're doing well. For now the approach you followed is the recommended solution. Hopefully in the future once sub-circuits are a reality this type of workflow will be viable.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
