CAM Processor - issue with *.cam file for PCB layout

Hello,

I have an issue with creating CAM files (Output Job for PCB layout). I created my own file, and it has been working fine for months. I then wanted to make a modification (just changing an output name) and after saving it, I encountered a compatibility problem (message: "This current output job is not compatible with the current board!").
I did a little research and by simply modifying the version of the *.cam file (using Notepad, at the end of the file, changing "version": "9.7.0" to "version": "9.2.0"), it works fine.
I would like an explanation of how to update my board so that it works with a CAM file in version 9.7.0, or how to avoid this error if I create a new CAM output file.

Hello @slompWNQDA ,

 

9.7.0 implies Fusion but the fact that changing it to 9.2.0 works seems to imply that you are working in EAGLE. Could you clarify the provinance of the CAM file?

In summary 9.7.0 is only for Fusion while anything less will be for normal EAGLE. Depending on where you are opening the file you need to use the appropriate CAM job.

Thanks for the response. What’s strange is that I’m only using Fusion – I don’t use EAGLE at all. So I’m encountering this compatibility issue directly in Fusion with version 9.7.0.

You’ll find the contents of the CAM file below (it couldn’t be attached — strange). I’ve removed my name and email address.
