Broken 3D board link new 3D board version in mechanical design

Hello,

Somehow my 3D PCB name updated to xxx - Rev3.1 v4 from xxx - Rev3 and now my link to the board inside the mechanical design is broken. I know that I can unlink the design and then re-link it, but I've spent a lot of time repositioning it. I'd like not to have to recreate this. Is there a way to simply link to this new version (which is fundamentally identical - few trace changes and text) to the previous version? In the mechanical design, I can open "choose version" but the connection to the newly named Rev3.1 is not shown.

Thoughts?

Hi @ambios ,

I hope this message finds you well. It sounds like you saved the model as a separate file. In that situation you would have to to break the link and re-insert it as you have mentioned. Keep in mind that the MOVE command in Fusion has a point to point option which can make it really easy to locate the board onto your assembly.

Thanks for the quick response, you're the best!

I was afraid of this. You can see from my screen shot that the board is round. Although I can use the point to point option to position one mounting hole in the center of the mount, it is hard to align the board rotationally. I can get pretty close by eye. and I'll likely just do that.
