Bad UX - object selection

Hi,

I think I've already open topic about this problem/bug.

So, in this video I selected layer tPlace. I want to select object(line) in tPlace layer. For some reason Fusion does not select line. Because of something.

Why Fusion does not prioritize object in current layer?

Also, if I want to deselect object, i have to click twice.

Here's another video. I'm trying to select line in tPlace layer and move it.

Fusion, at least electronics module, has really "retarded" UX. I know UX is copied from EAGLE but come on!

Don't reinvent the wheel, don't discover warm water, just copy basic UX things from other SWs.

It's like you enter in car and you see clutch on right side, you give throtthle with steering the wheel etc...

Quality of Life releases should fix UX bugs. Quality of Nerves should fix crashes etc. 😄

Hi @silvio3105 ,

Thanks for sharing this one. Like you I would expect the active layer to have priority in the selection, from what I remember its a little more subtle than that but it doesn't seem to be working correctly to me.

@panpan_fan Could this be reported and investigated by QA? Thank you in advanced for logging it.

Hi @silvio3105

For object selection, you can use the selection filter to select the object you want easily.

By the way, when you try to move objects which are overlapped, you can also follow the guidance message to select successfully

Yes, I know for selection filter and it does not make selecting objects easy.

I know for left-right mouse click thing. Check video from second post and you will see the problem.

Sometimes I have the feeling that only "work-a-round" is posted(like Panpan's post) and that is it. I hope those UX/controls will get fixed. Use solution from AutoCAD for overlapping objects. It's software from AD, same house that released Fusion! C'mon!
