Autorouter slow

Hi

did someone try the Autorouter after the last update?

It's very slow, for a 100x160 Card with 6 Layers and 320 Wires it needs 6 hours to arrive to 100% and other 4 hours to optimize 2.

Has anyone an solution ( I've routed the same board two years ago without problems)

Hello @Packmers_,

I hope you're doing well. The TopRouter algorithm is much slower than the old brute force algorithm. If you want a quick result then uncheck the TopRouter variant checkbox in the Autorouter setup dialog.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.

Hi @Packmers_ ,

So sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Could you please try below options one by one and see which will help? If the option 1 doesn't work, please try option 2.

Option 1: Uncheck "Enable GPU rendering"

 1) Close Electronics design files firstly.

2) Go to Preferences dialog > General > Electronics > Misc > Uncheck the checkbox of "Enable GPU rendering" > Apply > OK.

3) Then reopen the Electronics design files to have a try to see whether still have problem.

Option 2: Uncheck High-resolution canvas graphics on high DPI displays.

1) Close all Electronics design files

2) Go to Preferences > Graphics > Display > Uncheck High-resolution canvas graphics on high DPI displays > Apply > OK

3) Close Fusion and relaunch it to have a try again.

Hi Helen & Jorge

it didn't help.

Unfortunly it's an old design, so maybe any differce may be.

There are only 3 Routes running without TopRouter, the cpu load is around 30% Memory 40%.

I will try soon if it's the same problem with an new design too.

If someone else finds the same effect, please give a reply.

Do you have a design where you could benchmark the autorouter?

Kind regards

Wolfgang
