I have a noticed on my Fusion desktop that the Autodesk Assistant will now have quotas for the work it does. Apparently, only agentic requests count towards the quota.
I think this is premature and unfair of Autodesk to introduce this now for a few reasons:
- The Fusion electronics documentation is very poor. Trying to learn how to perform a new task is extremely difficult if one has to go through the documentation. And posting help requests to this forum comes with a bare minimum of a day before an answer is provided.
- The Autodesk Assistant frequently starts out trying to answer questions based on old documentation and it takes several follow-up questions to get the Assistant looking at the the most up-to-date sources of information to provide workable answers.
- The amount of tokens used per request depends on the complexity of the request and so is undefined. If it can't be determined before hand what it's going to cost me to use the service how do I know the service is going to worth it?
I think Autodesk should make a strong effort to update the documentation and create instructional videos the explain how to do things before the introduction of quotas for the best help service for Fusion Electronics that exists now.
