We have an Electronic Design we are using as a design block. The circuit includes a GND and a +5V net.

Each time we insert (place) the design into another design, the net names ALL auto-increment, so we get GND1 and +5V1, etc.

I see I also have a little cleaning up to do. There should be no VDD reference, LOL

Hi @chris_cummingsDT,

I hope this message finds you well. You can avoid the auto-increment by using power symbols in the schematic. We have three libs that contain these, Power symbols, supply1 and supply2. Attach the appropriate symbol to the appropriate net in the schematic and you'll avoid the auto-increment.

Without a power symbol they are treated like any other net which you normally would want to auto-increment. If they are identified as a power net then they don't auto increment.

Additionally if you place labels on nets these will not auto increment also.

These are the 2 main mechanisms to avoid nets auto-incrementing.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
