Unable to convert solid object to sheet metal

When I'm trying to convert an object into a sheet metal so I can unfold it and add patterns to it, the software returns a "can't calculate body thickness" error. Any advice on why this error shows up? I tried it on a simpler geometry before in the same file and it worked. Maybe because of an existing sheet metal rule?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi @lo_kin ,

Thanks for posting your question. Looking at the image, I believe this issue is the thickness does not look uniform. Sheet meet requires a consistent thickness. You could try to split the bodies into two bodies with a uniform thickness for each body and work with them independently.

Hope this helps.
