Students and myself cant join the team created by IT/ my team

Myself (DT Teacher) and students all have educational licenses. However we arent able to join a team that IT made me joint admin too. I then couldnt acces their team. I subsequently created my own team and tried to get the same students to join my team.

Students keep getting these. I have contacted Autodesk support to no avail.

Hi @obikes Sorry you are running into some issues. How are you trying to join the team? By trying to discover it, or were you and the users sent a link to join the Team?

Thanks,

Kevin

I firstly got students to create a student account. We were initially sent a link from IT team to join a team which I believed expired and I was made Co-admin but we couldn’t access that link, after as it seems like we already had an account which couldn’t be joined to that team. IT seem to think we have 2 accounts (student/ educational) none of which can join my team or their.

I sent them (students) a link to join my team but they they have received no email notification and this has been a week ago. I got them to check their junk mail.

Thanks for the info @obikes We are checking on some things on the backend to see if everyone has been accepted and is properly setup etc. Hopefully I'll have some news to share with you soon.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi @obikes

Sorry you are having issues!
Could you please drop me a Personal Message and send me the emails of the students you are having issues with? I will take a look at their accounts and see what is going on 🙂
Thanks,
Oliver

@obikes I am afraid I haven't heard back from the relevant team yet.
However, can I check if your school's IT system could be blocking the emails to join the team? Sometimes they do this and it doesn't even reach the junk folder.

@obikes We are still working on figuring out what is happening with your students. I am so sorry it is taking so long!
Could you share the ID for the team that you want the students to be a part of? You can find this by going to the team in browser. The URL will include the team name.
eg. https://hub62975.autodesk360.com/

Can you also try inviting a few of your students to a different team? This way we can identify if the problem is with this one team's configuration, your IT system in some way or something else!

I created a new team and added a few students, not sure how long they are supposed to wait? No email invite.

Hi @obikes

Sorry for the issue you're having. The "Team" that is created at manage.autodesk.com is used to organize Users into groups. This Team, has nothing to do with Fusion Teams. Each account can only create one Fusion Team, but you can be invited into as many Fusion Teams as needed.

To help  explain the process of setting up Fusion in the classroom, please see the attachment in this post: Autodesk Resource: Using Fusion Team and Folder-Level Project in the Classroom.

Please let us know if this helps.
